Naturebeads was formed back in late 2006 by David and Lilian Weeks. We've had the opportunity to be part of many designers and hobbyists jewelry-making experiences and cherish the relationship we've built with all our customers and many people we have met during the years. Naturebeads is a small online business in Central-East coast of Florida. We started from a small bedroom at our home and now we work out of a downtown office space. We are always trying to get better, do better, offer better products and improve our customer service. Sometimes it is hard as we travel so much doing Bead shows, but we are getting better. We strive to provide a great value. We don't strive to sell the cheapest beads. We give back to our artisans and charities. We respect the environment, people we work with and people we meet everyday. We appreciate your support during the years and we'll make sure you are happy with Naturebeads.

 David grew up in Florida, USA and I was born and raised in Manaus, Brazil “The Amazon”. While obtaining my degree in fish engineering "aquaculture", I would visit the jungle for weeks at a time for research. While there, I was always so impressed by the wonderful jewelry the locals adorned themselves with. All of the pieces were handmade from seeds, bark, fish scales, feathers, etc. I would then bring some of the components back with me to the city and would make some of my own creations to sell to fellow students and teachers at the University I attended. The sales of these pieces helped finance books, lunches, and of course pairs of trendy shoes, "a small weakness of mine" throughout my years there. After graduating in early 2006, I met David and we came to Florida to live. It is here that I decided to rekindle my hobby and make it an online business. The first pieces I tried to sell were so different then anything else in the USA that it was hard to find interested buyers. I did however start meeting other creative people and found that the components to make these styles of jewelry were difficult at best to come by here in the states. Others started asking me for some of the seeds and pieces and this is how it begun. Before I knew it, we had boxes in every corner of the house and had gotten to know all of the mail staff at the post office by their first name. So, to all of you out there that we meet each month that ask us how to get started selling your pieces, we say to you......just…………… Create....Create.....Create.....eventually something will stick and you will also be in a job that you just love to get up to each and every day.
