Ahhh, these have been my favorites forever. I personally picked every single basket directly from a dear friend and supplier directly from Ghana. These baskets are called "Bolga Baskets" and they are famous for their beautiful colors and unique designs, note that each basket is uniquely made and no two are the same.
Handmade from elephant straw that grows abundantly in the rich flood areas in Northern Ghana in an area called "Bolgatanga", by the gentle hands of artisan women who have been weaving the patterns for many generations; these Bolga Baskets are of great beauty. Our baskets are very large in size and have this beautiful U-shape making them perfect to be used as a shopping bag, saving all the plastic we would use in the market while keeping all your goods safe.
The woven pattern makes these baskets extremely strong, probably one of the strongest baskets you'll ever have. The design and colors are super eye-catching along with a gorgeous leather-covered handle, making it easy to hold on to. They are approximately 18-20" long, 14-15" wide, 14-15" tall, and 6" handle, total height is an average of 20-21", but please note that each basket is handmade and will vary slightly from one to another. The bottom diameter is 16-18 inches making this beautiful basket perfect to carry just about anything, even puppies. :))
I use my baskets for shopping and around my garden, where I collect vegetables, leaves, and flowers. Grocery shopping has never been easier. You can stack a couple of baskets and be ready to go knowing that your bag will hold everything nicely and never worrying about your groceries falling out from the bottom. Haha, it has happened to me! But the uses don't stop there. They can be used for decoration around the house, to hold blankets by the sofa, pet toys, and, whatever needs a little extra pop of color. You can also cover the inside with a cloth if desired.

❁ DETAILS: How to shape your basket
When baskets are shipped, they are pressed inward to make sure they fit in the packaging. They won't permanently lose their shape, but if they do, please do the following:
1. sprinkle a little water in your basket
2. straight it up and open it with your hands to the original basket shape
3. allow your basket to dry, sometimes I just let mine outside in the shade so they can dry nicely.
