The Blue Color Block: 10mm Vintage African Vinyl Record Beads Necklace, African Jewelry, Boho Festival Necklace, Phono Beads, Jijida Beads
What a fabulous strand of vinyl record beads in the prettiest royal blue color block tone ever! This particular Vinyl Record necklace includes a beautiful mix of colors, the majority of beads feature a bright royal blue with blocks of dark mossy green, a lighter mint green, a few different light shades of blue, and a gorgeous block of bright neon pink.
Our vintage African Vinyl Record Beads are made from a material called Vulcanite, which is an old source used to make vinyl records and became very popular when women started recycling the vinyl records and transforming them into beads, thus creating bright colorful, and unusual jewelry to adorn their bodies. They were called Phono Beads but also known in Mali as Jigida beads, commonly used to shape the women's waist—truly stunning craftsmanship on these little tiny sequined beads.
Truly, African Vinyl Record Beads are beautiful and fun, quickly turning into one of my favorite beads, full of colors and history. The vinyl record bead strand is shipped as shown in the pictures, strung in a loop as they're used and traded in Africa. You can wear them as they are or you can easily take them apart to create your jewelry that I am sure, will be nothing short of magical.
