Beautiful authentic African porcupine quills featuring naturally bold bands of creamy white, dark brown, and black. Measuring approximately 11–14 inches (28–36cm) long, these substantial natural quills offer plenty of length while being more compact than our longest quills, making them especially versatile for quillwork, jewelry making, millinery, hat adornments, costume design, mixed-media art, and other creative projects.

Our porcupine quills are naturally shed and ground-collected in Africa by our small partners. When they arrive, they may still carry soil, dust, and natural residue from the environment where they were gathered, so we carefully wash and prepare the quills by hand before offering them in our shop. Because these are genuine natural quills rather than manufactured components, every piece has its own striping, curvature, thickness, taper, markings, and character.
