Gray: Large African Bone Beads, handmade in Kenya, 22-25mm Barrel Shape, Tribal Beads, DIY Jewelry Making
If you love large and bold beads, these are for you. These Barrel shaped Bone Beads are beautiful, not just the color and shape, but in how they are made. Each of these beads is handmade from recycled water buffalo or cow bone and no two pieces are the same. The recycled bone is shaped by hand creating a beautiful barrel shape, then it is dyed with Indigo creating a gorgeous blue-gray color that resembles an antique item. Note that these beads are inlaid with a drilled wooden plug so you can string them for jewelry making or remove the wooden bead to string these beads in your braids and hair.
The beads are unique in size and shape, varying from 22 to 25mm with a large hole of 3mm diameter, allowing you to string these beads in a thicker cording. Natives wear the full necklaces as they are and they make quite a statement piece of jewelry. Always a good reminder that traditional African Beads are fair trade and contribute to the traditional African culture of zero waste and eco-friendly materials.
